As someone who's spent countless hours listening to audiobooks, I was thoroughly charmed by the world of Hetar and the captivating story of Lara. Rendel's narration is nothing short of enchanting – she brings a level of warmth and vulnerability to Lara's character that makes it impossible not to become invested in her journey. One of my only criticisms is that the pacing can feel a bit uneven at times, particularly during the Pleasure House scenes – while the tension is palpable, the narrative feels a bit rushed in some areas. However, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise expertly crafted production. If you're looking for a romance or historical fiction title that will transport you to a world of magic and mystery, Lara is an absolute must-listen.
