Last Train to Helsingør

Tim McInnerny's narration is a standout feature of Last Train to Helsingør. His ability to switch effortlessly between accents and tones brings Amsinck's diverse cast of characters to life, while his measured pacing expertly builds tension. The story itself is a slow burn, with Amsinck taking her time to weave a complex web of intrigue. This could be seen as a criticism - the first half of the book is slow, with a lot of scene-setting and character development - but for those who appreciate a more nuanced, atmospheric crime novel, it's a strength. The production is minimalist, with no music or sound effects, allowing McInnerny's narration to take center stage. My only minor critique is that the ending feels slightly rushed, but this is a small blemish on an otherwise outstanding audiobook.
