Lawful Deception

I was immediately drawn into Lawful Deception's unique premise: a mother who's more interested in her business than her child. It's a bold choice that makes for a refreshingly unreliable narrator. R.C. Bray's narration is a standout feature, his voice capturing Bliss's cunning and vulnerability with equal parts charm and unease. The story's pacing is near-perfect, with twists that come just when you think you've got it figured out. My only critique is that some of the secondary characters could have been more fully developed, but that's a small quibble in an otherwise outstanding audiobook.
