Le Temps des secrets

Listening to 'Le Temps des secrets' was like being transported back to my own childhood summers, filled with the same sense of wonder and nostalgia. Caubère's narration is nothing short of extraordinary. His voice is as versatile as the characters Pagnol paints, shifting seamlessly from the innocence of childhood to the wisdom of age. The pacing is perfect, allowing the story to unfurl like a slow, lazy river, with moments of humor and warmth balanced by poignant reflections on the passage of time. If I have one critique, it's that the audiobook could have benefited from a bit more variety in the sound design - a few ambient sounds or musical interludes to further immerse us in Pagnol's world. But that's a minor quibble in an otherwise enchanting listening experience.
