I was immediately drawn into the rugged, untamed world of Legacies. Dailey's writing is evocative, transporting you to the American frontier with its descriptive prose and authentic dialogue. Vincent's narration is a perfect match, her voice capturing the spirit of the strong-willed heroine, Elizabeth, and the charming rogue, Luke. The pacing is excellent, keeping you on the edge of your seat as the couple navigates not just their growing feelings for each other, but also the harsh realities of frontier life. My only critique is that at times, the secondary characters could have used more development. However, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise engaging listen. If you're a fan of historical romance with a dash of adventure, Legacies is a must-listen.
