Locate and Kill

Virtual Voice's narration is the perfect complement to Meyer's stark, unadorned prose. There's no grandstanding here, just a steady, measured delivery that lets the story's tension build like a slow-burning fuse. The pacing is expertly handled, ratcheting up the suspense as Heller's homecoming becomes increasingly fraught. The production is minimalist, with just the right amount of ambient noise to transport you to the dusty streets of Iraq. My only critique is that some of the supporting characters could have used a bit more development, but that's a small quibble in an otherwise outstanding audiobook.
