AudioBook Atlas

I found Virtual Voice's narration to be the perfect complement to these stories. Their calm, almost clinical delivery allows the narratives to speak for themselves, avoiding any potential melodrama. The pacing is spot-on, with each story given just the right amount of time to unfold. My only critique is that, at times, the detachment in the narration can make some of the more emotional moments feel a bit sterile. However, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent production. The standout story for me was 'The Emperor's New Clothes', a clever retelling that manages to be both funny and thought-provoking. Overall, Lord of the Slaves is a distinctive listen that will appeal to those who enjoy exploring the darker corners of human psychology.
