I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed 'Modern Witch'. Jennifer Jill Araya's narration is superb - she brings a sense of warmth and energy to the text that makes it feel like you're listening to a knowledgeable friend. Linda West's writing is clear and concise, making it easy to follow along with her explanations of various magickal practices. One area where the audiobook could improve is in providing more nuanced discussions of some of the more complex concepts, which sometimes feel a bit oversimplified. Additionally, a few more specific examples of spellwork in action would have been helpful. Overall, however, I found 'Modern Witch' to be a compelling and engaging listen that effectively conveys West's passion for witchcraft.
