Editor's Review ★★★★

AudioBook Atlas

As an avid audiobook listener, I was captivated by Moll Flanders from the very beginning. Janet Suzman's performance is a masterclass in narration, her voice perfectly capturing the essence of Moll's character and the various people she encounters throughout her tumultuous life. Suzman's ability to convey the emotions of each scene, from Moll's moments of vulnerability to her daring escapades, adds depth to Defoe's already compelling story. However, I did find that the pacing at times felt a bit slow, and I would have appreciated a slightly more dynamic rhythm to match the story's twists and turns. Nevertheless, Moll Flanders remains an enthralling listen, and Suzman's narration is a significant reason why.
