As a lifelong history buff, I was delighted by 'Stories from Ancient Egypt'. The tales are well-researched and true to their source material, yet still accessible for younger listeners. Suzman's narration is a standout feature - her ability to convey the grandeur of a pharaoh's speech one moment, then the cunning of a trickster god the next, is truly impressive. The pacing is spot on, keeping listeners on the edge of their seats. My only critique is that some of the more complex mythological concepts could have been simplified for younger listeners. However, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent audiobook. The production is clean and unobtrusive, allowing Suzman's narration to take center stage.
