I thoroughly enjoyed Murder in the Library, Martha Bond's captivating tale of secrets and lies. Polly Lee's masterful narration adds depth and nuance to the story, drawing the listener into the world of Fortescue Manor with each passing minute. The way she conveys the complexity of Lottie's emotions is nothing short of impressive – from the initial excitement of returning to her former employer to the growing sense of unease as the mystery deepens. If I have a critique, it's that some supporting characters feel a tad one-dimensional, their motivations and backstories glossed over in favor of the main mystery. That being said, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise expertly crafted audiobook. The production quality is top-notch, with clear dialogue and crisp sound effects that enhance the listening experience without overpowering it. Overall, Murder in the Library is a gripping, hard-to-put-down mystery that will have listeners on the edge of their seats until the very end.
