Mystic River

Stefan Kaminski's narration is the star of the show here. His Boston accent is spot-on, giving each character a unique voice that's as distinct as their personality. The story moves at a steady clip, keeping you on the edge of your seat. Lehane's exploration of guilt, regret, and the consequences of our actions is masterful. However, some of the plot twists feel a tad convenient, and a few characters could've used more depth. But these minor quibbles don't detract from the overall excellence of this audiobook. It's a compelling, dark journey that'll keep you up at night.
