I was hooked from the get-go. Ryan's writing is gritty and authentic, with a sense of place that's almost palpable. Holland's narration is a perfect match, his voice adding an extra layer of grit to the story. The pacing is relentless, with short chapters that keep you on the edge of your seat. The story is filled with twists and turns, but it's the moral complexity of Noble's character that really resonates. My only critique is that some of the secondary characters could have been more fully fleshed out. But that's a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding audiobook.
