On Unhallowed Ground

Listening to On Unhallowed Ground is like being strapped into a rollercoaster that never lets up. Tufo doesn't shy away from the grim realities of his world, and the story's unflinching exploration of loss and grief gives it a depth that's often missing in the genre. Runnette's narration is a real strength, his ability to convey both the grit and the vulnerability of Talbot's character making the story's emotional punches land even harder. If I have one critique, it's that the pacing can feel a bit too breathless at times, making some of the quieter, more introspective moments feel rushed. But that's a small complaint in an audiobook that's otherwise a gripping, suspenseful listen from start to finish.
