As I listened to One Night Only, I found myself swept up in the infectious energy of Sarah's Irish adventure. Narrator Jessica Regan was a perfect fit for this story, bringing a playful spark to the narration that perfectly captured the character's wit and charm. Her delivery is effortless, making it easy to become fully immersed in the story. One of the standout elements of One Night Only is its nuanced portrayal of female friendship. Walsh explores the complexities of these relationships with a keen eye, revealing the ups and downs of close friendships in a way that feels both authentic and relatable. While the romance at the heart of the story is sweet and satisfying, it's the friendships that truly drive the narrative forward. My only minor quibble is that a few of the supporting characters felt somewhat one-dimensional – I would have loved to learn more about some of the peripheral characters, like Sarah's eccentric aunt. Nevertheless, this is a minor complaint in an otherwise delightful audiobook.
