As I began listening to Peaky Blinders: A History from Beginning to End, narrated by Matthew J. Chandler-Smith, I was instantly drawn into the world of Birmingham's infamous criminal underworld. Chandler-Smith's narration is engaging and dynamic, perfectly capturing the tension and intrigue of the Peaky Blinders' story. His ability to convey the characters' emotions and the gritty atmosphere of the time period adds depth to the narrative, making it even more compelling. However, I found the pacing to be a bit rushed in places, which occasionally made it difficult to fully appreciate the details of the historical events being described. Despite this minor issue, I thoroughly enjoyed the audiobook and recommend it to anyone curious about the real-life inspiration behind the beloved TV series.
