I was immediately drawn into 'Pension for Murder' by its unique premise and engaging protagonist. Virginia Walker is no typical cozy mystery heroine, and I loved every minute of her feisty, independent spirit. Skye Alley's narration is a standout feature of this audiobook. Her voice is perfect for Virginia, capturing her strength and vulnerability with equal measure. The pacing is spot-on, with just the right amount of suspense and humor to keep the story moving. My only critique is that some of the secondary characters could have been more fully developed, but overall, this is a fantastic listen that I'd highly recommend.
