I was hooked from the very first chapter of Plaidypus. Keira Grace's narration is a perfect match for R.J. Blain's snarky and sarcastic writing style, bringing Nadine's internal monologues to life with a wit and charm that had me laughing out loud. The story moves at a breakneck pace, balancing action, humor, and romance in a way that never feels overwhelming. I particularly loved the unique take on lycanthropy and the dynamic between Nadine and her vampire brother, who stole every scene he was in. However, I did find some of the secondary plotlines a bit distracting at times, as they took away from the main narrative. Overall, though, Plaidypus is a fantastic listen that I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun and engaging urban fantasy audiobook.
