Pritty

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about diving into Pritty at first – the premise seemed familiar, and I wasn't sure I wanted to rehash the 'tortured teen' trope. But, oh, the way Miller weaves his narrative is nothing short of magic. The characters are multidimensional and flawed, the relationships are messy and real, and the emotions are raw and unflinching. The narration by Landon Woodson and Eric B. Anthony is a major part of what makes this audiobook shine. Woodson's warmth and empathy bring a sense of depth to the story, while Anthony's nuanced characterization adds a welcome layer of complexity to the narrative. My only quibble is that, at times, the pacing feels a bit uneven – there are moments where the story feels a bit rushed, and I found myself wishing for a more detailed exploration of certain plot points. Still, these are minor complaints in an otherwise outstanding audiobook. If you're looking for a coming-of-age story that will make you laugh, cry, and think, Pritty is an absolute must-listen.
