The story is a masterclass in suspense, as six strangers find themselves entangled in a deadly game orchestrated by the enigmatic Alexei Vasiliev. What sets this audiobook apart is its unique premise, reminiscent of classic horror films like 'Saw' and 'Cube', but with a literary flair that elevates it beyond typical genre fare. Editor's Review ★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

I approached 'Puzzle House' expecting a typical horror story, but was pleasantly surprised by its depth and originality. Ralston has crafted a clever tale that explores themes of greed, desperation, and the human capacity for cruelty. The pacing is excellent, with each chapter revealing new pieces of the puzzle, keeping listeners on the edge of their seats. Hempel's narration is exceptional, handling the diverse cast of characters with ease and bringing the story's chilling atmosphere to life. My only critique is that some of the more gruesome descriptions could have been toned down to maintain suspense without resorting to gratuitous violence. Overall, 'Puzzle House' is a standout horror audiobook that fans of the genre will devour.
