Queen of the Desert

As a history buff, I was drawn to Queen of the Desert, but I must admit, I wasn't prepared for the depth of Bell's story. Sullivan's narration is a standout feature, his ability to switch between accents and tones making each character distinct. The pacing is excellent, keeping the listener engaged even in the most politically dense moments. However, I found the lack of Bell's own voice, through letters or diary entries, a missed opportunity to delve deeper into her psyche. Still, this is a compelling listen, offering a fresh perspective on a crucial period in history.
