Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

I went into Queen of the Nile expecting a lighthearted, nostalgic tale, and Beaumont delivered. What I wasn't expecting was the level of wit and cleverness that permeates the story. The narrator's banter between the columnist and Pamela Morris is some of the most enjoyable I've heard in an audiobook. Stacy Keach brings gravity to the role of the columnist, while Kate Jackson shines as the ageless Pamela Morris. One thing that did catch me off guard was the pacing, which felt a bit rushed at times. Given the short duration of the audiobook, I found myself wishing for a bit more development of the supporting characters. That being said, this is a minor quibble in what is otherwise a delightful and engaging listen. The production quality is top-notch, and the narration is superb. If you're looking for a fun and lighthearted listen, Queen of the Nile is an excellent choice.
