As an audiobook editor, I've had the pleasure of immersing myself in Realm of Crows, and I can confidently say that it's a game-changer for fans of epic fantasy. The world-building is meticulous and immersive, with a rich history that underpins the narrative at every turn. I was particularly impressed by the way Steffort balances the competing factions vying for power in Askarea – the rebels, the fairies, and the ruling class all have their own distinct voices and motivations, making for a refreshingly nuanced exploration of power and politics.
