I’ve listened to my fair share of relationship recovery titles, but *Recupérate de la Infidelidad* is the first one that actually respects the listener’s intelligence instead of talking down to them. Bibiana Segura’s narration is a revelation—hers is the kind of voice that makes you believe the words she’s saying are meant specifically for you, not some hypothetical broken heart. She slides between Spanish and English phrases seamlessly, mirroring the messy, bilingual reality of many modern relationships without making a fuss about it. The pacing is relentless when it needs to be (Gardner doesn’t let you wallow in denial) but cushions you with enough breathing room to let the harder truths sink in. My biggest critique? A couple of the exercises toward the end feel slightly rushed—like the audiobook is straining against its runtime to cram in one last tip. Also, if you’re someone who needs a soothing ASMR voice to feel ‘held,’ Segura’s higher register might not be your warm blanket. Still, these are minor quibbles against a book that delivered the only thing I’ve craved since discovering the betrayal: a way forward that doesn’t demand I amputate my history or my hope. Gardner gifts you back the power to decide what’s worth saving—and that alone makes it a standout.
