I fell head over heels for Rockstar the moment Violet and Kai's story began. The way Lauren Rowe brings her characters to life is nothing short of magical – and Lily Reynolds and John Lane do an phenomenal job of bringing them to life in audio form. Their narration is warm, witty, and perfectly in sync with the tone of the book. I particularly loved the way they conveyed the musical elements of the story, from Kai's songwriting sessions to Violet's sassy comebacks – it's clear that the narrators are huge fans of the genre and have a deep understanding of the characters' motivations. One thing that really stood out to me was the way Rowe balances the lighthearted, comedic moments with the more serious, emotional ones. It's a delicate dance, but one that she executes with ease and precision. My only minor quibble is that the supporting cast sometimes feels a bit one-dimensional – but that's a small complaint in an otherwise exceptional audiobook. Overall, I'd highly recommend Rockstar to fans of humorous, music-infused romance – and I'm so glad I have this fantastic audiobook to revisit time and time again.
