I was thoroughly engaged by 'Running the Gauntlet', thanks in large part to Virtual Voice's skilled narration. The pace of the story is well-balanced, moving seamlessly between action sequences and strategic planning. One of the standout aspects of Thomas's writing is his ability to convey the complexity of military operations without overwhelming the listener. However, I did find that some of the supporting characters felt a bit underdeveloped, which made it difficult to become fully invested in their storylines.
