I was drawn into 'Second Chances' from the very first chapter, and Mari's narration played a significant role in that. Her voice is as comforting as a warm blanket, perfectly capturing Ella's vulnerability and Wyatt's rugged charm. The pacing is spot on, allowing the story to unfold naturally, much like a well-crafted brew. I loved how Young didn't shy away from the complexities of grief and loss, making Ella's journey feel genuine. However, I did find the conflict resolution a tad too neat, but that's a minor quibble in an otherwise engaging listen. This audiobook is perfect for those who enjoy a good cry followed by a heartwarming happily-ever-after, all wrapped up in a small-town romance package.
