He nails Ross’s arrogance without veering into caricature, and his Anastasia has a sharp, self-aware edge that keeps her from being just another wide-eyed ingénue. The chemistry between them sizzles, even when the plot stretches credibility (a *secret baby* trope in 63 minutes requires some Olympic-level suspension of disbelief). The pacing is where things get shaky. The first 20 minutes rush through Anastasia’s job offer, instant attraction, and a whirlwind hookup so fast I checked my player for skipped tracks. Then the middle drags slightly as the conflict—Ross’s fear of commitment, Anastasia’s pride—repeats in slightly reworded arguments. The ending, though satisfying, feels abrupt, like Wylder hit the fast-forward button on the emotional resolution. Still, for fans of ultra-short romances, this delivers exactly what it promises: a steamy, low-stakes escape with zero emotional whiplash. Just don’t expect to remember the characters’ last names by tomorrow.
