As I immersed myself in Sektens makt - Heaven's Gate, I found myself captivated by the well-paced narrative that unravels the enigma of the Heaven's Gate cult. Narrator Magnus Schmitz's performance was nothing short of exceptional, with his ability to capture the eerie atmosphere of the cult's existence, while still maintaining a level of tension that kept me hooked. Although some listeners may find the story slow to develop in the beginning, the narrative picks up pace as it approaches the climax of the cult's downfall in 1997. The production quality is top-notch, with clear audio and no distractions. However, I did find that the audiobook could have benefited from a more comprehensive exploration of the psychological aspects of the cult's members' beliefs. Nevertheless, Sektens makt - Heaven's Gate is a riveting listen for those intrigued by cults, true crime, and religious biographies.
