As a long-time fan of Charlaine Harris, I was thrilled to dive back into Roe's world. The story is a solid addition to the series, with a well-crafted mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat. Juhlin's narration is a joy to listen to, her voice perfectly capturing Roe's Southern drawl and infusing each character with unique personality. The pacing is steady, with a good balance of dialogue and introspection. My only critique is that some secondary characters could have been further developed, but overall, this is a highly enjoyable listen. The production quality is excellent, with no background noise or awkward pauses.
