Star Surgeon

As a fan of both medical dramas and space exploration, I found Star Surgeon to be an absolute gem. White's ability to create intricate, believable alien species and their unique medical challenges is nothing short of impressive. The story is filled with tense, high-stakes procedures that had me on the edge of my seat. Wicks' narration is a significant part of what makes this audiobook so enjoyable. His ability to differentiate between human and alien characters, and his clear enunciation of the sometimes complex medical terminology, is commendable. However, I did find the pacing to be a bit slow in a few sections, which could be improved with some tighter editing. Overall, though, Star Surgeon is a must-listen for anyone who enjoys a good medical mystery set against the backdrop of the vast, unknown universe.
