About This Audiobook

Simon Brett's 'Star Trap' is a delightful whodunit that serves up a double helping of intrigue. Charles Paris, our down-on-his-luck thespian, finds himself in a dual role - a bit part in a lavish musical and an undercover sleuth. The plot is a tangled web of secrets, lies, and a murder that threatens to close the show. Geoffrey Howard's narration is a standout, capturing the essence of each character with a versatility that's as impressive as it is engaging. This isn't your typical cozy mystery; it's a sharp, witty take on the genre that's perfect for listeners who enjoy their mysteries with a dash of humor and a healthy dose of suspense.

AudioBook Atlas

I was hooked from the get-go with 'Star Trap'. Geoffrey Howard's narration is a real treat, his ability to switch between characters with such ease is truly commendable. He brings Charles Paris to life in all his flawed, lovable glory, and the rest of the cast is equally well-served. The story moves at a cracking pace, filled with red herrings and twists that had me guessing until the very end. My only critique is that I wish we'd delved a little deeper into some of the supporting characters, but that's a small price to pay for such an enjoyable listen. If you're looking for a mystery that's as entertaining as it is intriguing, look no further.
