As a huge fan of the Cyrus Haven series, I was excited to dive back into the world of Michael Robotham's complex and often disturbing characters. With 'Storm Child', Robotham delivers a gripping and emotionally charged thrill ride that will keep listeners on the edge of their seats from start to finish. Joe Jameson's narration is a revelation, bringing a level of depth and nuance to the story that is nothing short of breathtaking. One of the things that sets 'Storm Child' apart from other thrillers is its expertly crafted pacing. Robotham masterfully ratchets up the tension, dropping subtle clues and hints that keep listeners guessing until the very last page. However, I did find the supporting cast to be somewhat one-dimensional at times, lacking the depth and complexity of the main characters.
