Valentina De Marchi's narration is a standout feature of this audiobook. She masterfully captures Allegra's growth from a timid, put-upon woman to a confident, empowered one. De Marchi's comedic timing is spot on, making even the most mundane scenes hilarious. The pacing is excellent, keeping the story moving at a steady clip without feeling rushed. However, I did find some of the secondary characters a bit one-dimensional, which sometimes detracted from the overall impact. But don't let that deter you - the sheer joy of watching Allegra finally get her due is worth the listen.
