Sugar Plum Scary

I was hooked from the first chapter. Wycherley's writing is like a rich, dark chocolate - sweet but with a hint of bitterness, and oh-so-satisfying. The story is a delightful mix of the familiar and the unexpected, with a healthy dose of humor and heart. Maeder's narration is a perfect match, bringing each character to life with his expressive voice. The pacing is spot-on, never lagging despite the story's complex world-building. My only critique is that I wanted more of the magical creatures - they're fascinating, and I wanted to see more of their world. But that's a small complaint in an otherwise excellent listen. If you're looking for a fairy tale that's both sweet and scary, look no further.
