Tom Weiss's narration is the perfect complement to Oppenheim's vintage storytelling. His ability to convey the subtle shifts in Wrayson's character as he becomes entangled in the mystery is commendable. The pacing is excellent, with Weiss masterfully building tension, only to release it with a clever plot twist. However, I found some of the secondary characters' voices slightly less distinctive, which occasionally made it challenging to keep track of the supporting cast. Overall, 'The Avenger' is a delightful throwback to the golden age of mystery, offering a satisfying escape for listeners who enjoy a good old-fashioned whodunit.
