The story’s first half is a slow simmer of medical horror, almost *The Diving Bell and the Butterfly* meets *Misery*, before veering into full-blown supernatural dread. I loved how the bubble itself becomes a character—a fragile barrier between life and the unseen horrors of Crystal Lake’s past. That said, the third-act reveal feels slightly rushed, like King had one too many irons in the fire and wrapped things up with a bow instead of a scalpel. The Virtual Voice narration is polarizing but *brilliant* in context. Its lack of human warmth initially threw me—until I realized that’s the point. Timothy’s world is sterile, emotionless, and the narration reflects that until the final act, when the AI’s sudden shifts into raw panic become genuinely unsettling. My only gripe? The production could’ve used more ambient sound design—subtle beeps of medical equipment or the hum of the bubble’s filters—to deepen the immersion.
