Editor's Review ★★★★

AudioBook Atlas

I was thoroughly engrossed in 'The Burden of Power' from start to finish. Michael Butler Murray's narration is superb, bringing a sense of urgency and emotion to the story. The way Cargile has structured the plot is impressive, with unexpected twists and turns that kept me guessing. One area where the book shines is in its characterization - the protagonist is well-developed and relatable. My only critique is that some of the supporting characters feel a bit one-dimensional at times. Additionally, a few of the plot threads feel slightly rushed towards the end. Overall, it's a minor quibble in an otherwise gripping and well-crafted thriller.
