Listening to 'The Cabin on the Hill' felt like bingeing a gripping true-crime podcast, complete with cliffhangers and revelations that had me hitting 'play' again and again. The dual narration was a stroke of genius, allowing us to experience Reese's investigation in real-time, while also delving into the minds of other characters. Trepanier's voice is perfect for Reese, capturing her tenacity and vulnerability, while Master's warm, slightly accented voice lends an air of mystery to the townsfolk. The pacing is excellent, with just the right balance of action and introspection. My only critique is that some of the red herrings felt a bit too obvious, but Walker more than makes up for it with the final twists. This is a must-listen for fans of complex mysteries and atmospheric suspense.
