The Candidate

Lori Prince's narration is a standout feature of 'The Candidate'. She effortlessly switches between Jane's confident, impassioned speeches and Alex's quiet, introspective moments, making it easy to become invested in both characters. The story moves at a steady pace, balancing political intrigue with romantic tension, and Richardson's exploration of the complexities of power and desire is refreshing. However, I found some of the political plotlines a bit predictable, and I wish there had been more exploration of the consequences of Jane and Alex's relationship on their careers. Overall, though, 'The Candidate' is a compelling listen that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
