AudioBook Atlas

As a hockey fan and a sucker for a good love story, 'Delay of Game' was a home goal for me. Watley's narration is exceptional, capturing the essence of each character, from Niki's steely determination to Eva's quiet strength. The pacing is perfect, balancing intense on-ice action with the slow burn of Niki and Eva's rekindled relationship. I particularly loved the way Richardson explored the complexities of their relationship, neither shying away from the tension nor rushing the resolution. My only critique? I wish we'd seen more of the supporting characters, who felt a bit one-dimensional at times. But overall, this audiobook is a winner, and I'll be cheering for Team USA (and Niki and Eva) all the way to the gold medal.
