I was immediately drawn into this audiobook by Jesse Connell's authoritative narration, which effortlessly conveyed the sense of awe and reverence that permeates the text. Connell's voice is like a steady anchor, guiding listeners through the dense and intricate narrative that unfolds over 22 hours. The production quality is equally impressive, with clear sound and judicious use of music to enhance the listening experience. One of the most striking aspects of this audiobook is the way Connell brings to life the figure of Enoch, whose righteous nature and divine visions are the thread that weaves the narrative together. As I listened, I found myself drawn into Enoch's world, where the boundaries between heaven and earth are blurred and the very fabric of reality is threatened by the actions of the Watchers and the Nephilim. If I have any criticisms, it's that some of the supporting characters feel somewhat one-dimensional – the angel Uriel, for example, is a compelling figure, but some of the other angels feel more like cardboard cutouts. However, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding production.
