As an editor, I was thoroughly enthralled by The Dark Summoner #2 – and I'm eager to share why this audiobook stands out from the pack. From the opening chapters, Danny Montooth's masterful narration draws you into the world of junior lineages and dark magic. But what truly sets this story apart is Tkachev's willingness to challenge conventional fantasy expectations. Gregor's character arc is a masterclass in character development, as he evolves from a rebellious young noble to a calculating and cunning leader. If I have any criticisms, it's that the supporting cast feels slightly one-dimensional at times ��� particularly the female characters, who, while well-intentioned, don't quite receive the same level of depth and development as the male leads. Additionally, some listeners may find the pacing a tad rushed in the final act, which, while intense and action-packed, feels somewhat hurried. However, these minor quibbles are more than offset by the audiobook's many strengths, making The Dark Summoner #2 an absolute must-listen for fans of fantasy and science fiction.
