As someone who's always been intrigued by the Dead Sea Scrolls, I found 'A Biography' to be an absolute gem. Collins' deep knowledge and passion for the subject shine through, making even the most minute details about the scrolls' discovery and interpretation captivating. Moseley's narration is a perfect complement, his steady pace and clear enunciation making the dense material easy to follow. I particularly enjoyed how Collins doesn't shy away from the controversies surrounding the scrolls, instead delving into them with a critical eye. My only critique is that at times, the detailed discussions of scholarly debates could have been a bit more concise. But overall, this is a fantastic listen for anyone interested in history, religion, or the mysteries of the ancient world.
