Memories of Summer

I'll be honest - I went into Memories of Summer expecting a dry, factual memoir about baseball. But what I got was so much more. Kahn's writing is like a time capsule, transporting listeners to a bygone era with ease. Moseley's narration is a big part of that - his warm, conversational tone makes the author's stories feel like they're being shared around a campfire. I particularly loved the way the narrator brought Kahn's family to life, from the overbearing mother to the lovable but mischievous brothers. That being said, there were moments when the audiobook felt a bit disjointed. At times, Kahn's meandering narrative made it difficult to follow his train of thought, and I found myself wishing for a bit more structure. But overall, the strengths of the book far outweigh its weaknesses. If you're looking for a light, engaging listen that will transport you to a different time and place, Memories of Summer is a great choice. Just be prepared for some meandering narrative - it's all part of the book's charm.
