Editor's Review ★★★★

AudioBook Atlas

As an audiobook editor, I was thoroughly engrossed in The Deep Well, but not without some reservations. Rebecca Gibel's narration is, without a doubt, one of the highlights of this production. Her ability to convey April's growing paranoia and fear is chilling, and her delivery of the story's more ominous moments is genuinely unsettling. However, at times I felt that the pacing was a touch uneven, with some sections feeling a bit rushed and others meandering slightly. That being said, the story's atmospheric setting and Creedle's deft handling of the mythology made up for these minor quibbles. The result is a compelling and unsettling listen that will appeal to fans of dark, atmospheric fiction.
