The Four Horsemen

As I listened to 'The Four Horsemen', I was struck by how Toby Neighbors takes a well-worn trope - the apocalypse - and makes it feel fresh and unsettling. The story moves at a deliberate pace, allowing the characters' desperation and fear to build organically. Virtual Voice's narration is exceptional, bringing a sense of detachment that heightens the story's otherworldly feel. However, I found the pacing to be a tad slow in the middle, and some secondary characters could have used more development. But these minor quibbles aside, 'The Four Horsemen' is a compelling listen that will keep you on the edge of your seat, wondering what could have caused the vanishing, and what's next for the survivors.
