The Gathering Storm

As a long-time fan of the Wheel of Time series, I was thrilled to dive back into the world Jordan has so masterfully crafted. The Gathering Storm is a testament to the series' enduring appeal, with a plot that's as intricate and satisfying as a well-woven tapestry. Kramer and Reading's narration is outstanding, with each bringing their unique strengths to the table. Kramer's booming voice is perfect for the powerful and enigmatic characters like Rand al'Thor, while Reading's nuanced performance brings depth and complexity to characters like Egwene al'Vere. The pacing is excellent, balancing action-packed sequences with quieter, more introspective moments. My only critique is that some of the more descriptive passages can feel a bit dense, but this is a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding audiobook. Overall, The Gathering Storm is a fantastic addition to the series and a must-listen for fantasy fans.
