The Housemaid's Secret

I was drawn into 'The Housemaid's Secret' from the very beginning, thanks in no small part to Lauryn Allman's narration. She brings a certain warmth to the protagonist, making her relatable even as she navigates the treacherous waters of her new life. The story is a slow burn, but it's a burn that's worth the wait. McFadden expertly weaves a web of secrets and lies, keeping you on the edge of your seat until the very end. My only critique is that the pacing could have been a touch tighter in the middle, but it's a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding listen. The production is clean and unobtrusive, allowing the story and narration to take center stage.
