Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

As someone who enjoys both historical fiction and audiobooks, I was thrilled to discover 'The Midwife's Child' by Amanda Lees. From the very beginning, I was drawn into the gripping tale of survival and motherhood. Lees' narration is superb, with her rich, emotive voice bringing the characters to life. Her ability to convey the desperation and hopelessness of the characters amidst the horrors of Auschwitz is truly impressive. The pacing of the audiobook is well-judged, allowing listeners to fully immerse themselves in the story without becoming overwhelmed. While I found the description of the death march to be particularly poignant, I did feel that some of the secondary characters could have been more developed to provide a more well-rounded experience. Overall, 'The Midwife's Child' is a captivating and moving audiobook that I would highly recommend to fans of the genre.
